Fingers Crossed, please?

Tomorrow is the day.

Dental work commences at 8 a.m. tomorrow. I'll still go into work and do most of the early morning draws, then leave around 7:30 for the appointment.

I'm terrified, but there's no turning back now.

If you're so inclined, send a little prayer or luck my way, okay?

Tell you how it went when I'm able to get to the computer.

Edit: It was all done by 10:15. The dentist pulled all nine teeth and I didn't feel any of them going except for a pinch on one of them; she didn't pull it till she was sure more novacaine had taken effect.

And, they look great! Right now, my lips are still numb, so they get stuck trying to move around and over everything. Taking ibuprofen was a challenge, for I could not drink without the water spilling right back out, a straw wouldn't work because I'll have to learn how to use one again, I think...or maybe that was the novacaine, too! I ended up spooning water into my mouth to swallow the pills! LOL!

Talking *will* be a challenge, although so far I'm doing reasonably well. I just can't say "b", "v" and "s". And saying "s" does cause that horrible whistling effect everyone laughs about, so I'll be working on that a whole lot!

I have to tell you that they really must look good because when R saw them, he said in a voice with a tone akin to awe, "Wowwwwww!" And, the dentist said she was really thrilled that I insisted on the color change. She said it was worth the money that had to come out of her pocket for the change.

You picture beggers will have to wait a few days. Remember, there will be wedding pictures very soon!

More later!

*fingers and toes crossed*

I hope it goes quickly and as painless as possible Kate! Maybe once it's all done and you're feeling better you could have someone take a picture of you with your beautiful new smile!!!!

(HINT!)

So glad that went well. I know it was stressful to anticipate. I'm pleased to know it all turned out so nicely!

Yeah, there were a few problems with the lower partial overnight. But, I have to see the dentist at 9 a.m. this morning, so I hope she'll be able to figure out how to resolve what's bugging me about them.

But, it felt really weird to brush my teeth this morning!

Yay it's over now Kate! I'm glad it went well and that you like the change. I hope she was able to fix the issue bothering you with the bottom plate?
