Snagged from Jude, Tracey and Orion -

Kate's 2005 Year In Review

1) Was 2005 a good year for you? It was a hard and stressful year. Too much responsibility, too little in the way of money, too much time needing to be taken off from a new job, and more time on airplanes than I've had in 15 years.

2) What was your favorite moment of the year? I don't know if I can pick a "very" favorite, but one of the best was Luke saying, "Gamma, I yuv you," for the first time.

3) What was your least favorite moment of the year? Dealing with the fact that Kirk got married secretly and didn't bother to tell us till 4 months later. Funny, that marriage has already ended in divorce.

4) Where were you when 2005 began? Sleeping. I was on duty on New Year's Day.

5) Who were you with? Myself. Spouse and the dog were still awake while I was sleeping.

6) Where will you be when 2005 ends? Probably sleeping again. I have to work on New Year's Day again.

7) Who will you be with when 2005 ends? Myself. The spouse and the dog will be sleeping in front of the television as usual.

8) Did you keep your new years resolution of 2005? Don't make 'em.

9) Do you have a new years resolution for 2006? Useless to make them. It just makes me feel badly if I don't keep my word and honor what I've said I'd do.

10) Did you breakup with anyone in 2005? No.

11) Did you make any new friends in 2005? Oh yes, and wonderful ones, too!

12) Who is your favorite new friend? Plural! Tracey, Jude, and JJ; and there are several others in real life and online who I'm hoping to become better acquainted with in the coming months.

13) What was your favorite month of 2005? June.

14) Did you travel outside of your country in 2005? Nope

15) What different states did you travel to in 2005? Let's see...Illinois, Florida, Nevada, Arizona.

16) Did you lose anybody close to you in 2005? Yes, my aunt in Florida.

17) Did you miss anybody in the past year? Yes.

18) What was your favorite movie that you saw in 2005? I'm terribly behind on movies - it'll take me years to catch up!

19) What was your favorite song from 2005? Haven't any idea.

20) What was your favorite record from 2005? The only one I got - Neil Diamond's new one titled "12 Songs"

21) How many concerts did you see in 2005? None

22) Did you have a favorite concert in 2005? N/A

23) did you drink a lot of alchohol in 2005? Not nearly enough.

24) did you do a lot of drugs in 2005? N/A

25) How many people did you sleep with in 2005? Two, if you count the person who shared my tent space at a camp out.

26) Did you do anything you are ashamed of this year? Oh, I hope so! LOL

27) What was the worst lie someone told you in 2005? My son's 'ex' tried to convince me she was going to graduate school when she hadn't even finished undergrad. Like, she thought my child would not tell me the truth?

28) Did you treat somebody badly in 2005? Not that i'm aware of.

29) Did somebody treat you badly in 2005? Yes. The nitwits who were supposed to be my trainers when I started at the hospital.

30) How much money did you spend in 2005? Everything that was earned.

31) What was your proudest moment of 2005? Being asked by my daughter and son-in-law to officiate at their wedding ceremony.

32) What was your most embarrassing moment of 2005? Being easily swayed into believing something I shouldn't have and then living with the consequences.

33) If you could go back in time to any moment of 2005 and change something, what would it be? I would have kicked ass and asked questions later when I was dealing with my aunt's health issues.

34.) The best thing that happened to you in 2005? Having all my children move back to the area, so no one is more than 20 minutes away from each other.

No. 23 and No. 26 made me laugh. On a freezing Tuesday morning even.

Sounds like you had a mixed bag for the year too huh? Great answers, and I think that's wonderful that your kids are all living close by again. :-)

Thanks, Tracey, Robin, and Jude. It was quite the year - not the one I had planned, but learned a lot in the process!

My best to each of you in 2006!
