Just for the heck of it, I thought I'd post the list of ideas I gave my family for things I'd like to have. It'll be interesting to see if anyone paid any attention to it; of course I don't write the list expecting to get everything on it - and when the kids give me their lists, I keep them from one year to the next just in case I'd like other ideas next year. I break my list down into practical, practical/impractical (practicality depends on the person who is doing the buying!), and impractical(fantasyland gifts)
Practical list:
Moisturizer (Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizer)
Queen sized sheets
Queen size cotton weave blanket
Barnes and Noble Discount card
Hobby Lobby gift cards
Wool socks
2 qt. covered casserole dish
Cotton nightshirt
16" feather duster (from the FlyLady website)
Money (to be used toward repairing the living room ceiling)
Books:
The Knit Book by Sally Melville
The Purl Book by Sally Melville
Practical/impractical list:
CD's:
Soundtrack from Wicked
Elton John's Greatest Hits (double CD, white with his picture on the cover)
Sting CD
DVD's:
Madagascar
Robots
Impractical List:
Sewing machine (inexpensive Brother sewing machine from WalMart. All it needs to do is go forward, backward, zig-zag and be able to make buttonholes. Anything else is frosting on the cake.)
Good quality hoop earrings for work; nothing too big
Jewelry, preferably gold
And now...back to wrap a few more gifts. I have to keep taking breaks since it doesn't do my back any good whatsoever to keep bending.
More later if I have time. If not, please have a wonderful day tomorrow, everyone! Merry Christmas, and Happy Hannukah

Sorry I missed you on I.M. tonight Kate! So your back is still sore huh? I was hoping it would be feeling better by now....take care of it and don't over-do! Do you know anyone who does Reiki?
Have a very Merry Christmas!
I'm sorry I missed you on I.M., too, Jude! I hope your day was wonderful!
My back was not pleased about bending over the table to wrap gifts, but as long as I remained standing, I did fine. It was when I was sitting, or trying to get up that was excruciating!
As far as Reiki, yes, I've got my first level of Reiki, but I don't do well using it on myself as a rule. I'm far better at helping others. And being the stubborn person I am, I try not to ask for help if I think it's something that just needs to be worked through. Anyway, it's getting better each day, so that makes a huge difference!
