Ugh...

I just finished writing my reports to Kathy regarding T's training session today. As a writer and former reporter, it's not a difficult task to put words on paper, but man, I'd much rather be working on the current book project than writing a report that may totally change the direction of someone's life.

But, I want to let those of you who read this to know that I am reading your responses; however, I probably won't be doing any replying till the weekend. Know that I'm not ignoring you all, just dealing with several 'home front' issues. Lainie's first birthday is tomorrow, I'm still being the shoulder for my friend and her relationship problems, and I need to really push on finishing that knitting project. I finally gave up late this afternoon and took a two hour nap *for ME*! Felt gooooooodddddd, too!

Catch y'all soon with current updates.

No worries Kate! Good for you getting a good nap in, I did just the same thing today for the first time in ages and it felt GREAT!

I'm glad you got a nap in!!! How did the pan hunting go?

Talk at you soon!

This job has really made it necessary to nap at least a couple of times a week. Or I've just got to learn to go to bed at 7:30 p.m.....NOT! I've tried, and I just can't do that - been too much of a night owl for too much of my life!

As far as the pan hunting, Trace, we didn't find anything with Miss Piggy on it, so Lyn made Lainie a butterfly cake instead. It was really cute...she used a diagram in some book she has that shows how to cut cakes into shapes and build something from those shapes. The main thing is, Lainie really knew what to do with the cake! LOL Miss Piggy LIVES!

You'd have loved watching her. Now, she's not quite ready to handle a spoon or fork yet; she's still at the stage of having a few bites or pieces put on the high chair tray. But for her birthday, Lyn cut her a HUGE piece of cake covered with bright pink frosting. That kid picked that cake up like she ate cake every day and chowed right in! It was a riot! And about a half hour later, Lyn called me over to see - Lainie was at her high chair with her head stuck between the seat and the tray picking all the crumbs from the cake up and stuffing them in her mouth! *grin* Captured on video tape for future high school graduation embarrassment.
