I had to take this one because Miss Bree became very interested at the "string" I was playing with. No, I wouldn't let her have it - I have visions of coming home someday and finding yarn strewn from one end of the house to the other.
This picture shows the cuff of the sock turned right side out. With socks you knit it from the cuff to the toe. At least that's the theory. Seems to be working so far. We'll see how it goes!

WOW! That just looks way too complicated for me, but that is one cool looking sock you got going there Kate!
It's the oddest thing, Jude. I've tried to knit socks before, and like you, it looked and felt complicated, and hells bells, my fingers just would not work with those needles. But I *still* wanted to learn to knit socks. (I have this notion that when the world comes to an end as we know it, someone better know how to make socks!)
I don't know why it suddenly made sense and my fingers lost their fear. But, I haven't gotten it done yet! Fear factor is still just around the corner! LOL
Wow, Kate. You're really doing it!

LOL. If it's as hard as it looks, then I think I better put a few crates of socks on the emergency supply list.
Maybe Saran Wrap would work.
Maybe Saran Wrap would work.
Well, they used to say that Saran Wrap worked for emergency "other" kinds of socks...
