I've never really told you about Yama, and I will do so another time. But, as with all rescue dogs, she came with "baggage". She hates it when the telephone rings. She hates the vacuum cleaner. She absolutely freaks when we open the cupboard under the sink that has the cleaning supplies stored there. We can live with her quirks. Gods knows she has to live with ours!
But, whenever she has the need to freak, she grabs a toy, pushes it around and shakes the hell out of it. If it's a squeaky toy, so much the better!
Yesterday, Robert was doing some work outside, and brought the patio chairs to the deck. They were filthy after a winter in the shed, so he came inside, grabbed a bottle of spray cleaner and headed back out to the deck to clean them off.
Yama freaked, grabbed her toy and proceeded to squeak the toy for the next 30 minutes while Robert cleaned the chairs. I shot video of just a minute of what we listened to in that half hour. Enjoy!
I apologize for the fuzziness of the video - I was shooting it through the kitchen window and of course, there's a screen that gets in the way! But, I'm quite serious in saying that she squeaked that toy for about 30 minutes straight. I'm sure the neighbors loved it. LOL
