Those of you who read the comments from readers may have seen my dear friend, Alia, comment from time to time.
Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers today, and in the days to follow. She underwent surgery today - a mastectomy because of recently discovered breast cancer.
I'm anxious to hear how the surgery went. I'll post something when I know.

I'm home -- I survived, and even looked in a mirror at the hospital. Now I have a strenuous schedule of resting and recovering for a while. Thanks so much for your concern and energy, sweetie.
