Odds 'n' Ends

Downloaded pictures from the video camera today, so thought I'd show you some of the things I'd taken. They're all just really quick shots, with little or no thought involved, except the circus pics. And because security was bearing down on me for taking pictures of my grandbabies, I didn't get a chance to focus or get their attention. Of course not! The circus folks were taking pictures, too! Gotta generate as much cash as possible!

By the time the moon cleared the houses, totality had already occurred during the eclipse. But, I did get this one decent shot.

Dolly's arch nemesis - A TREE RAT!!!

Tree Rats are amazing little acrobats, aren't they?

Grandma, why are you taking our picture when all we want to do is go to the circus?

I have to admit, I love the elephants. What magnificent creatures they are!

What adorable munchkins! :)

Thanks, Trace! You'd have laughed at Laney in the restaurant. Luke wanted to get something from the kid's menu, (it was a Mexican restaurant, btw) and when Laney was asked if she wanted a hamburger, she looked straight at her Grandpa and informed the table at large that she wanted a "quesadilla". Now, how many two year olds can say that word? We just cracked up.

Great shots! Your moon pic is gorgeous, as are those kiddies!

I LOVE elephants, such spiritual creatures.

Very cute, Kate! I love elephants, too. I have a picture of one on my stairway wall.

Tree rat -- lol -- I don't think I've heard them called that.

Thanks, Jude:) I wish it would have been possible for us to see more of the eclipse in this time zone. I would have liked to take pictures from beginning to end.

It's not the greatest pic of the grandbabies, but we have another birthday party to go to this weekend - our granddaughter, Anna, turns 16, so maybe I'll have some more pics to show off next week if all goes well.

Robin - Two Wolves always calls 'em tree rats; it's sort of become the standard name for them around here as a result. So, you'll have to thank him for that one!
