New Pic

Just downloaded a few pics and thought you might like to see this one since you heard me carry on about getting the baby afghan done for Rabab's baby before he was born.

As I was "posing" the afghan to take the picture, Libby decided she should be on the thing to give it its proper place in the pack - after all, it took up far too much of Mommy's time!

Poor dog isn't going to be happy when I start another on in the next week or so...

You made that Kate? Whoa, you're good! I really like the fancy pattern in that one. I used to knit, then found out how to crochet and never went back to knitting. However it's been YEARS since I've done either. I never did anything so beautiful before though!

It's beautiful Kate! And kudos to Libby for making sure it's toasty and comfy! ;)

My mom does alot of those, i've never been the crafty type so i've never learned.

I'd like to say it looks great, but that would'nt be a guy thing.

How about, grunt huh, a blanket. ;-)

Yer a guy, Bob! *grunt, growl, belch*

Katie, ye do wonderful work. 'Tis quite beautiful and I'm sure both mom and babe will get many years of warmth and love from it. I've nae doubt ye not only put yarn into it, but a bit of love magik as well.

Good on ye!

Kate ~ That's gorgeous! How in the world did you do that?

And 'tis a bit of Magik in there as well -- I can feel it from here. Lucky baby indeed. :~)

Jude - Thank you! It was a pretty simple pattern, and great big needles, so that helped!

Trace - thanks to you, too! I am trying to do this stuff to keep myself from stuffing my face with food! Gads, if my knight in dented armor showed up, I'd hate to think he'd despise me because I was too soft and cushy! LOL

Bob - Since yer a guy, I'll just say thanks, knowing there's a compliement in there someplace!

TW - Thanks! Yeah, there's a wee bit of magic involved in the thing.

Robin - Thank you! You know, it's weird, I just wanted to somehow do something to...I hope this doesn't sound ridiculous...bridge some kind of culture gap; I have so enjoyed the opportunity of meeting and working with Rabab and the other Muslim folks and if I can do something to make them know that at least one person from this country is not an "ugly American" it will make me happy.
