Just a quick update: Trainee E *did* send an email to Kathy. Sent it on Saturday, he said.
This morning I'd settled in at work to do my morning paperwork. I'd had a three day weekend, so I'd settled at a table with E to see how his first Sunday on his own had gone. (It went well, btw.) I'd simply asked him if he'd sent the email, he'd responded that he had, and that was the end of it.
But, then Anne came over to the table. She'd volunteered to come into work on Monday and get the holiday pay, so she was there when Becky got called into the office.
Yep, Becky got her arse in a jam big time. And was she ever ticked off! So, she left the boss's office and found Anne and lit into her, since Anne was the only one Becky had actually talked to, she *assumed* that Anne had blown the whistle on her. Anne, of course, wondered if E had sent out the email, so she just took Becky's diatribe and let it go in one ear and out the other.
Funny, isn't it? Becky's getting chewed out about going to a floor that's not on her assignment list for the day, she's hollered at for unprofessionalism, and she doesn't have enough smarts to figure out which group she was with when she did those things?
If it were me...I'd be really walking on eggs around the people I'd been with. After all, even though it's not fair, I've seen situations where the whole group is going along with stuff because they don't want to cause a scene, but one of the group reports it later, even though they had been playing along.
So...good on E! As he told me today, he'd spent plenty of time on the carpet himself, and was more than glad to share the wealth when necessary! LOL
