Boring Vacation Pictures...Second Round

As my last post ended, Robert and I were taking off for the end of Naples Pier. We walked out to the very end. The breeze was blowing hard enough to cool things down. It was absolutely fantastic and cool in comparison to the beach. We hunkered up against a railing and just enjoyed the sound of the ocean and the cool breeze blowing.

I get a little goofy over pelicans, too. They just crack me up. They are a comedy act, always "on". They look like they were put together with spare parts: duck feet, heron bill, old girdles, etc. LOL! It's fun to watch them fish, and if you're at a location where they can have the spoils of the fisherman's catch, you can see them duke it out over the leftovers.

Sure enough, a couple of them decided the end of the pier was a good place for them, too. This guy looked like he was trying to keep his "pits" dry.

Then his buddies decided to join him.

Finally, Darald made his way out to the end of the pier after getting Barb and Pat settled in a cool, shady place on the pier. So, I sent him over to stand with some new friends.

More later! My early morning wake up call is catching up with me. Time for a little snooze!

Pelicans are evil! I used to get dive bombed by them every time we'd hit the little cliffs in Ca! Bleh! I lost count of the number of shirts they used for target practice!!!!

So how was your first day? How'd it go?

Pelicans have no fear of humans. That can be funny or scary. They are cool looking critters, though.
