I really hate it when it's so blasted cold your nose hairs freeze. It makes my 2 block walk from the ramp to the hospital feel like a marathon.
What was incredibly funny and delightful, though was to watch Dolly and Yama outside in the snow. Dolly is such a diva; she's too good to play unless it's from jealousy because Yama is getting too much attention. So, when I didn't find them back at the door in five minutes after I let them out for a "break", I was a little concerned at all the yipping and barking I heard in the yard. Couldn't see them, so I went to peek out another window.
Dolly was playing! Run like the wind, joyous playing. Yama didn't know what to do with this new found playmate. I have snow dogs!!!! I grabbed the video camera and taped it, because anyone who has met Dolly will not believe she played unless they see it. It was wonderful, except Robert said that Dolly tried to play while on their walk yesterday, which made for almost-concussions and slips on the ice. He even brought them home early because they were so unruly! *laughs*
Although I'd rather be in a warmer climate where sunshine is plentiful, one thing I do like to do during the winter is pull out the card table, put it in a sunny (or at least a somewhat bright) location and put a jigsaw puzzle together.
Sunday was the day I put this operation together. A few years ago we bought a cool puzzle of a Native American Goddess pouring water out of a pottery jar, creating the world. For some reason, we didn't get to complete that puzzle, so it was time to bring it out and try again. It's one of those puzzles that once together will be permanently sealed and probably framed and hung someplace. No promises, but I'll try to take a picture of it tomorrow and post our progress with it.
I'm off to see if I can find a few more pieces. I have to get away from it every so often because I don't think anything matches after awhile!
Slainte!!!
***EDIT***
Here's a picture of the puzzle where I left it last night.

Sounds like your pups were having the time of their lives! I think Kodi wouldn't know what to do as he's never seen snow before LOL
I don't miss the ice and snow and cold of northern life. Down here, snow that doesn't melt on contact with the ground is an anomaly and I like it that way!
Looking forward to seeing the finished puzzle. It looks beautiful so far :)
Damned puzzle is addictive. I've wasted most of the morning working on it. I'm forcing myself to leave it and get my chores finished.
