I looked at my blog entries from a year ago. I wanted to see what seemed to be important in my world then. I may try to do this every month, for my own amusement and perhaps my reader's boredom! LOL!
January 2006 yielded:
* Pictures of the baby afghan I'd made for a co-worker's baby. (Note: Rabab says that the blanket is her little boy's favorite one, and he has to have it with him before he sleeps. And glory of glories, it has not ended up as a tangle of yarn at the bottom of the washer like I was afraid it would!)
* Comments on an animal cruelty case.
* Pics of my first stained glass piece, and a stitched gift from my daughter.
* Work woes and the adventures of my trainees. (I don't remember if I mentioned it, but T was fired a week before her probationary period was up, and E is still a valued member of the team. Katheryn moved back to Chi-town, hoping to make her fame and fortune as a traveling phleb, but found out that after paying for her own fuel and such, it didn't make any money for her. She dropped by several months ago, and said she wanted to come back, but was a little surprised by the lack of enthusiasm she found upon broaching that idea.
* The "white girl clique" was in full force at work. (This has been replaced by "the posse")
Boy, when I look back at things, I think I live in a vacuum.
I need a vacation, methinks.

This past year just ran by in fast forward for me. I have no idea how or why it went so fast but I feel like I accomplished nothing last year!
Awww, I remember the baby afghan! I'm glad to hear it's survived a year of baby drool and spin cycles.
Unlike my quilted ottoman cover, which I've already had to repair. (I made it just a few months ago.) Hmpff.
The older I get, the faster the time goes by. No kidding!!
Love the new skin Kate!
