Thanks to everyone who has noticed I'm missing! It's not uncommon for me to withdraw at this time of year, although it seems to be a little more severe this year than it has been in others.
For a quick explanation, I'm doing some very serious introspective work. It's your basic "reinvention of self" sort of thing. There are some things I am not happy with in my life, and some of them are things I can fix if I just take the time to do so. So, I've been doing some experimenting with different bed times - figured out that my REM sleep hits about the time my alarm goes off, and it's no wonder I'm exhausted all the time as a result! And, as I've done in times past, I've let myself get far too attached to my "cyber" life, and I'll sit at the computer for hours doing nothing just hoping that someone will get on the chats when I'm online. And, when no one does, I realize that most everyone else has found things to do! Then I get depressed and...well, I just start a cycle that makes me unhappy with myself. So, for the next couple of weeks or so I'm going to be reinventing myself and figuring out a happy medium for several aspects of my life. I'll clue you in as to what I hope to do when I get more of it figured out!
I am reading everyone's blogs, though! I miss you and please be patient while I reeducate myself on how to remove my head from my arse!

Must be the time of year Kate. I have been kinda invisible the last week or so myself. But I think time away from the cyberlife is a good thing! ;)
Yay Kate's back! :) Yup, I was getting worried and I did miss you darlin'. But like Trace said, sometimes a little time away to do other things is good. By the way, my sleeping patterns suck at the moment too, and I just heard from another menopauser (she commented on my blog) who has the same issue. So, I wish you moocho luck Kate and hope you find the right "spot".
In the meantime, it IS time that we Orionettes got a chat in don't you think? ;) Take care, lovely lady!
YES! I'm lonesome without you two!! A chat is a definate 'must' sometime soon!
And my mom had issues with sleeping (or actually not being able to sleep) while she was going through menopause Jude. I don't remember what she did to help ease it though............i'll have to ask next time she calls.
You're not alone. I recently fell off the face of the earth for a while. Others are doing the same. Take care of yourself. We totally understand.
