End of Semester = Graduations and Parking Spaces

This is graduation weekend at the U of Iowa, and I'm sure other schools are doing the same. When Monday rolls around there'll be three weeks of available parking spaces downtown! Sure, there's ramps and lots, even more so than actual streetside parking spaces, but it's just the thought, you know? It'll be calm and lazy downtown, not the frantic hustle of students changing classes every hour; little fear of a bike zinging out in front of you when you least expect it.

This year we've only gotten one invitation to a graduation, and it's a college one. My son's girlfriend, Marsha, gets her master's degree this afternoon. All the friends and families will be invading their house for a party/potluck this evening. Should be fun!

But, I need to run to the store to get the fixin's for baked beans. Marsha requested that I bring mine, 'cause they're the best! Seriously, they are good, not bragging. So, I'm off to change out of the scrubs and head into town for provisions so the cooking can commence!

Catch y'all later!

Oh, the food.....yummers! Beans are easy, Trace! You just throw some basics into a pot and bake! I'll talk you through it one of these days when I catch you in chat.
