In The Beginning....

This is a new adventure - I've done some private journal-type blogging, but I'm going to chance having a more public forum. This has come about for two reasons: the first is a thing from work I'm trying out where "wellness" is the key and is measured on a points system, one of which is by journaling.

The second aspect of this is that my friend Dawn and I have been dinking around with a study group (of two!) which we've been trying to decide how/what we want to do. As of tonight's meeting, we've started on a journey through the Pagan wheel of the year. Both Dawn and I are solitary practitioners, and both of us came to this path through non-traditional ways. So, after many years, we are going to attempt to work though a full cycle, learning things we may not know about, and discussing things we agree and disagree with. Although I doubt seriously that Dawn will be joining this blog adventure, I am looking forward to throwing words out on the things I find that I didn't know about. And, I'm going to be counting on any readers to comment too!

But, not only that, I am going to use this for my own take on things, not only Pagan, but about the comings and goings in my life. And, I'll warn you, most times they will be boring as hell!

Interesting thing that happened at work today:

I work in a hospital, so I'll be sharing some things that happen within hospital life...within the HIPPA guidelines of course!

Today's cool thing was an elderly patient I worked with told me that his mother used to watch the artist, Grant Wood, do his painting. I thought that was neat!

That's very cool - One thing about being in IT in hospitals, you never got to talk to the patients.

Of course, you never got covered with ooky-stuff either...LOL

But the ooky-stuff is where it's all at! LOL

Oh, there's ooky stuff at times...like kneeling down to get a good shot at a hand vein, and not realizing that the patient's Foley catheter is leaking, and the residue is being soaked up by your scrubs pants...EWWWW
