Only a few weeks left until LammasFest 2006. When I started this event four years ago, along with a few others, I never expected it to become the somewhat nationally-known event it is today. Not bad for just a very short few years.
Anyway, I had the day off today, and I really pushed to get through as much of my good old procratination list as I could, and tonight I'm feeling somewhat relaxed about it. There's still lots of things I must accomplish, but for this actual moment in time, I will take a few great big breaths and try to keep in mind how wonderful the event is going to be!
Registrations are already beginning to roll in, and all from new people who have heard about LammasFest and know we have limited registration for camping.
I heard a bit of the Celia's CD; she's the songweaver who will entertain us prior to the main ritual on Saturday night. And, I'm so excited - I'll get to finally meet Alia in person - I've known her for several years via the chats and email lists, and now I get to actually be in the same airspace with her!
We were contacted by a firespinner today, asking if we would be interested in having them spin at the event. Hell, yes! Hopefully we can make arrangements suitable for each others needs.
I'm beginning to get excited about the event itself. I wonder if I'll have a couple of passes made at me again this year. *grin* That was certainly good for my ego, believe me! LOL (Doubt it, though...gained too much weight this year and haven't been working out, Bowflex or not.) But, it's fun to think about - Drumming, dancing, reacquainting with old friends and making new ones. So far, the "furthest away" person is coming from Pennsylvania to the east, and Alia from the West.
Yeah, it's gonna be good. You're gonna hear me alternate between completely stressed out to higher than a kite in the next few weeks, so much so you may begin to wonder if I'm bi-polar! LOL
If you want to see what LammasFest is all about, follow this link, but keep in mind that we'll be updating right till the very end!
